A few weeks a year the hills around Qalay-i-Zal turn into a green and fertile landscape. The desert Dashte Abdaan is then a popular destination for picnics, the nomads camp with their herds of animals between the hills, now the sheep, goats, camels and horses have plenty to feed. | Afghanistan
