Water Paths
Below the Kuang Xi Waterfall near Luang Prabang: These fascinating pools are a geological work of art that nature has shaped over thousands of years. Technically, they are called sinter terraces. When it is formed, lime precipitates and is deposited as solid rock, travertine or lime sinter. Over time, these deposits grow like small walls. This creates natural dams that dam up the water to form the characteristic, shallow basins. | Laos
