When the light fades

Late in the evening, the sky above Lake Beyşehir turns bright orange and red. Turkey's largest freshwater lake lies still, with only slight waves moving the surface of the water. Anglers stand in the shallow shore area, their silhouettes clearly visible against the light. They cast their rods, patiently, almost motionless.

The croaking of frogs can be heard from the nearby reeds, accompanying the quiet moment. The air slowly cools as the sun disappears behind the mountains in the west. As dusk falls, a peaceful atmosphere descends over the lake – an everyday but impressive picture of life by the water. | Turkey
