Dreams in the Garden

View to the two-storey pavilion, with delicate allusions to art deco, in the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh.

The Jardin Majorelle is one of the few sightseeings of Marrakech that is not located in the Medina but in the district Guéliz. The garden is especially famous for its cobalt blue, which goes back to the French painter Jacques Majorelle, who created this little paradise in 1923.

It is thanks to the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent that the garden exists in all its splendour. At the beginning of the sixties, after Majorelles death, the garden lay fallow and was overgrown. Laurent bought the park and invested a lot of money to make it what it is today. | Moroccoo

  1. And now, that Yves Saint Laurent is dead, will the garden be kept beautiful and maintained for many more years?
    I hope so.
    Superb perspective, great composition!
