Resting old Trees

On a quiet, foggy autumn day, the avenue between Wankendorf and Perdöl lies in mysterious twilight. The trees emerge like shadows from the fog, the colourful foliage shimmers subdued, and everything seems calm and peaceful – as if the landscape of the Schleswig-Holstein Lake District had held its breath for a moment. In truth, I held my breath.
