In stony nothingness

Absolute silence. Misty light. Taste of dust. After climbing up a rocky hill from the Charikar valley, you stand in front of a stone and desert landscape of the Hindu Kush. In the distance, from time to time only the cry of a bird of prey can be heard. Back over the hill one looks at a fertile and green valley, full of vineyards and clay villages. | Afghanistan
