Against the storm

The island of Sylt - the rough climate and the dune landscapes are impressive. The resistant beach grass grows on the dunes, which holds the sand with its deep roots and thus makes an important contribution to coastal protection. It not only shapes the image of the island, but also preserves it from wind and storm surges.
