End and beginning of a fruit

The village of Hüttblek has apple trees lining many of its paths. This year, the trees produced an incredible number of apples. Many of them fell prematurely and ended up as fertiliser, insect food or a feast for the eyes. Here, they were eventually swept into a colourful pile.
