Bear paw in the Sky
Giant hogweed in the autumn sun on the edge of the forest near Kattendorf. All plant parts, especially the sap, are poisonous. Especially when exposed to sunlight, the sap triggers a phototoxic reaction. These phototoxic reactions are particularly strong in giant hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum).
Beautiful fireworks in the sky captured here! I am intrigued that the hogweed can be so poisonous, especially in the sun.
A bold composition/photo.
Excellent level of detail.
Great capture.
