From the Plough to the Mouth
Preparations for winter sowing in the district of Qalay-i-Zal: two oxen, a wooden plough and the farmer cultivate the land on the Kunduz River near Char Gul Tepa as they have done for centuries. People cannot afford modern technical equipment such as tractors. This year even less so than ever before. It is enough to survive, but not much more. The political situation has exacerbated this situation. The outcome is uncertain. | Afghanistan
On the other hand, this really does look like true organic farming.
Technology isn’t always a good thing, and one day we may regret relying on so much of it.
