Days on the river

Near Setti Fatma a young Berber girl sits at the Ourika river and watches the goings on.

The Berbers are not a self-contained ethnic group, but consist of numerous, sometimes very different tribes. In addition, their range extends over a huge area - from western Egypt to the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Berbers, the so-called Guanches, also lived on the Canary Islands, but they were exterminated in the course of history. | Morocco
