On the way between Nong Khiaw and the village Xieng Thong we drove through many villages with many children. With a birth rate of 23.9 (births per 1,000 inhabitants - estimated 2016) not surprising. For comparison, the rate in Germany is 8.8. | Laos
The same village on another corner and again one village further there are also many children on the way.
On the other hand, unfortunately, infant mortality should also be high.
