Colors of Faith

In Dealu, a quiet village in the south of the country, the Biserica Sfântul Nicolae shines in the sun like an open prayer book. Golden roofs, colourful frescoes and finely painted faces of saints tell of the pride of the villagers – nothing here is simple, everything speaks of life and faith.
In front of the church lies the cemetery, a sea of white crosses and ornate gravestones. Between them bloom flowers, stand small lanterns, sometimes photos of the deceased – as if they wanted to smile at the living.
