The Clay Village

The old village consists of several residential castles built close to each other and partly nested in each other. In spite of the streams of tourists and the constantly changing filmmakers from all over the world, Aït-Ben-Haddou is one of the very few clay construction settlements in southern Morocco that are still reasonably well preserved. Aït-Ben-Haddou became famous as a film set for Lawrence of Arabia or Gladiator. | Morocco
