At the Ananda Pagoda in Bagan, which was built from 1091 to 1105 in the reign of King Kyanzittha. The interior walls of the temple were decorated with murals, fragments of which were discovered during restoration work in the 1960s.
The Ananda Temple is one of the most impressive buildings in Bagan. On the large plain, its gilded dome can be clearly seen from afar. It dates back to the 11th century and was completely restored after the great earthquake of 1975. Inside there are four gold-plated Buddha figures over twelve meters tall. | Myanmar
