In the Buddhist monastery building of Wat Phan Tao in Chiang Mai, visitors can admire the fine works made of teak from the surrounding forests. With these, the local artisan carpenters have outdone themselves. The roof displays an abundance of decorative elements, with the pediment and lintels decorated with sculptures and gilding in typical Lanna style.
