Long-Range Bazaar
Bazaar at the entrance to the pagoda field in Indein: The village of Indein lies to the west of Inle Lake and can be reached by boat. The journey across the lake and through the adjoining Nam Pilu canal is beautiful in itself. The boat chugs comfortably upstream for around eight kilometres through the tree-lined tributary.
Many different everyday items, vegetables, fruit, fish and meat are sold at the bazaar, which stretches all the way up to the pagoda field, but souvenir stalls are popping up more and more frequently, which detracts from the market's charm. | Myanmar
