At the river Kokcha in Badakhshan: A region that shapes the north of the country with its grandiose mountain and river landscape. If the security situation were not so bad, the region would have potential for wonderful hiking tours and would bring a little open-mindedness to the people in its isolated valleys | Afghanistan
In a not too distant future, I believe people will be able to walk these paths safely.
