Kingdom of the Dead

After the end of the civil war the Aga Khan Foundation commenced after the end of the Civil War to rebuild the tomb of Timur Shah in 2004 in Kabul.

Timur Shah was the second son of Ahmad Shah Durrani and the second king of the Pashtun Durrani dynasty that briefly ruled the second largest Islamic empire that time.

Today the Timur Shah Mausoleum is completely rebuilded and is one of the tourist attractions of Kabul.
